“Now, out of town producers have a first class facility to shoot and edit literally within a rock throw from City Center on the Strip," said Rick Willis, Creative/Marketing Director. "There is no longer any need to run around town to secure equipment or services from various locations. We have everything producers need under one roof. We deliver producers services [from] pitch to post including live network feed capabilities from our roof with the fabulous Las Vegas Strip in the background,” Willis added. “If it’s made in Nevada, it’ll be made here."
Vegas Producers Studio is also home to 808 Post & Production, a full service AVID/FCP dual edit suite operated by Mark Ott, a long time veteran of the industry. “We can shoot on the stage and edit the clients work at the same time. We can also provide live feeds from the facility and deliver multi-camera live coverage from our studio.” states Ott.
Magic Hour lighting operation is also located at the studio. Jim Wise of Magic Hour: “We have enough lights to shoot two full length feature movies at the same time and still have enough lights to rent.” Magic Hour brings a 5-ton lighting and grip rig along with two portable units to accommodate location-shooting needs.
In addition, Vegas Producers Studio has a 35x50 foot coved cyc, complete lighting grid with a full inventory of lights, including Silver Bullet HMI’s. “We have a camera car coming up from Los Angeles along with a hot-head telescoping crane which will be available by late June.” Wise said.
