Bruce Ewing of Phantom Las Vegas to Conduct Las Vegas Mens Chorus 2011/2012 Season

The Las Vegas Men’s Chorus has announced that Bruce Ewing has been chosed as the new Musical Director / Conductor for the 2011/2012 Season.

Ewing is currently performing in “Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular”, as well as having performed in “Forever Plaid” in Las Vegas, and various Musicals around the country, on tour & in regional theaters.

Additionally, rehearsal times have changed, and now will be held on Sunday Afternoons from at the Community Lutheran Church on East Tropicana. “We hope that this new schedule will open up our membership -- that more people will be able to join us, and be part of this amazing group of singers,” stated David Pohl, LVMC Board Treasurer.

Along with a schedule change, the LVMC is looking forward to expanding their visibility in Las Vegas, and begin providing educational outlets for young singers. “As the school district has made many cuts in Arts Education Programs, we would like to offer some educational support to the talented youth in the Las Vegas Valley,” says Aaron Shave, LVMC Board President.

Rehearsals for the 2011/2012 Season will begin Sunday, August 7, 2011, with the first concert of the season on Sunday, November 27th at 2PM.
