Female Impersonator Frank Marino to Debut Building Wrap at Imperial Palace, Slowly Phases Out Joan Rivers
Female impersonator Frank Marino will celebrate his new building wrap on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, where he performs his show, “Divas Las Vegas.”
“Everyone at Imperial Palace congratulates Frank on his first building wrap, which is a true accomplishment for any entertainer performing on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Rick Mazer, president of Imperial Palace. “We look forward to seeing what other surprises Frank has in store for the future of the show.”
Additionally, Marino is announcing that after more than 26 years performing as Joan Rivers, he will gradually phase Rivers out of his show, and will soon perform solely as Frank Marino, Superstar Female Impersonator. He will open the show with his comedic monologue and narrate the production throughout, but since he has achieved such high levels of stardom, he no longer feels it necessary to attach himself to another star.
Marino will soon debut a new wardrobe, with half of his custom-made dresses from designer-to-the stars Bob Mackie, and the other half from up-and-coming designers. The show, which opened at Imperial Palace in October of 2009, has been extended through December 2012.
“Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas” is co-produced by Adam Steck and Alex Schechter of SPI Entertainment.
