Legendary entertainer Carlos Santana will begin a two-year run of performances - "An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live - Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow" - in the specially re-configured House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas beginning in May 2012.
The reconfigured showroom seats fans within a few feet of Santana, and a stage-side specialty dining area.
"This will be a rare chance for music lovers to get this close to an amazing performer like Carlos Santana," House of Blues Entertainment CEO Ron Bension said. "Fans will be able to share a dance, a special moment, or sing out loud during this all night show."
A portion of the sale of all tickets will be made to The Milagro Foundation. Milagro ("Miracle") is a charitable foundation that supports underrepresented and vulnerable children and youth in the areas of arts, education and health. The Milagro Foundation was started in 1998 by Carlos Santana and his family to benefit children around the world.
Another contribution will be made to The International House of Blues Foundation which is dedicated to supporting youth music and arts programs, creating performance and exhibition opportunities for young and emerging artists and providing educational programs and resources that draw upon the arts to teach youth about history, culture and social change.
