Late-night improv-sketch-comedy "MotherFuppets" by Insurgo Theater Movement to debut at Plaza Hotel Nov 4

One part Muppets; one part Avenue Q; one part Insurgo. Combine and shake vigorously. “MotherFuppets” is the new creation by local theater company Insurgo Theater Movement, headed by artistic director John Beane. The company, which recently moved into a second-floor space at the renovated Plaza Hotel, is set to debut a new late-night comedy show.

Known for its cutting edge productions, Insurgo Theater Movement will produce a no-holds-barred puppet-sketch-comedy-show that is intended for mature audiences. Incorporating sketch comedy, improvisations, and furry creatures, the show will feature some of Insurgo’s top comedians as well as “amphibians, psychopaths, and burlesques.” With a company that always produces unique shows, it will be interesting to see what this all means.

The late-night -- 12:30am -- production opens on Friday, November 4th with tickets set at $15
