Bob Arno seen during dinner segment on National Geographic's "Pickpocket King" |
Rule number one when traveling: keep an eye out for your personal possessions. For Las Vegas entertainer Bob Arno, it’s all in a day’s work. He’s made a living at pickpocketing – not for criminal reasons – but to make you laugh.
The 30-year Las Vegas resident has turned the craft of pickpocketing and misdirection into an art, and filmmakers took notice. National Geographic plans to premier a documentary about his world on December 2nd. “Pickpocket King” follows Arno as he faces off against a gang of the world’s best criminal pickpockets. Crews captured thieves as they demonstrated their trickiest and most lucrative steals. Arno and partner Bambi Vincent also spend a dinner with thieves where throughout each course theft occurs.
The No. 1 pickpocket’s conclusion: “Bob. You and I do the same thing, but you make people laugh. I make them cry.”
Arno is also a keynote speaker on topics including theft risk management, and is recognized as the authority on street crimes and diversion theft. His presentations go beyond tourism safety and security for high profile clients – he performs a comedic blend of video, stealing, misdirection and pickpocketing for audiences across the country.
Catch the episode on National Geographic, December 2nd.
