On Thursday, September 1, the Insurgo Theater Movement launched WAITING FOR GODOT in its new home at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for preview performances. The new Insurgo Theater is the result of a landmark collaboration, the first time a repertory theater company has been put in residence in a major Las Vegas hotel/casino.
WAITING FOR GODOT is directed by Daneal Doerr. The cast features Ernie Curcio as VLADIMIR, John Beane as ESTRAGON, Brandon McClenahan as POZZO, Oliver Jones as LUCKY, and Carissa Berge-Sisneros as THE BOY. The production is assistant directed by Samuel Craner.
The grand opening is Thursday, September 8th at 8pm. WAITING FOR GODOT plays Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm for an extended run. The Insurgo Theater is located on the third floor of The Plaza Hotel and Casino.
WAITING FOR GODOT is produced in special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.
Samuel Beckett’s WAITING FOR GODOT is a tragicomic examination of man’s unconquerable spirit in the face of the absurdity of existence. Vladimir and Estragon wait endlessly for a man named Godot to arrive. Godot's absence triggers a vacuum that spirals into an existential battle for the soul; at times comic, at times profound.
