Unique Insight: Behind the Rebrand of @DragoneOfficial @Dragone_Franco #newlogo #dragone #LIDO #Vegas

At a media event in La Louvière, Belgium, Franco Dragone unveiled the new Dragone logo, visual identity and digital presence. With the rebranding also comes a new name where the company will be known simply as Dragone.

“Our new logo is the result of a competition within the Company, which resulted in over 100 ideas from employees around the world,” states the press release. “It perfectly reflects the creative and contemporary spirit we wanted for the new Dragone. It’s hand-painted to reflect our creative core and its shape symbolizes different elements of our vision: the spectator at the center of our concerns, the eye of the artist and the performer on stage.”

The company website and social media presence have been fully revamped to echo its new identity, drive and vision. They are also the materialization of the important transformations within the company, which includes a complete revamp of the management team over the past twelve months.  In 2013, Franco asked Yves Delacollette to take on the presidency of the company.

The opening of The Han Show in Wuhan, China in December inagurates the first of a string of shows in Mainland China. Shortly thereafter, Dragone will be moving into the Champs Elysées in Paris, with a show at the LIDO.

“Wherever we go, it is to transform the landscapes of the places we take our creations to. We approach every show with humility and curiosity for the history and culture of our new homes.” continues Dragone. “We will continue to carefully fuse the world’s human talents, artistic disciplines and technical innovations to bring stories alive, whilst continually reinventing ourselves and our art form in the process.”
