LIMELIGHT, Las Vegas' newest show, opened at the showroom at the Plaza Hotel & Casino with a VIP reception. From the very beginning of the show as the performers literally step out of the black and white screen into technicolor life, LIMELIGHT takes you back to a world of burlesque and vaudeville, complete with dynamic dancing from the Roaring 20s.
Evoking a beautiful silent film starlet in full black and white makeup, Felice Garcia sang "I Wanna Be Loved By You" and "Walk of Shame." Baton twirling cadet major Amy Toliver stunned the crowd with her skills while Danial Brown, playing a bad boy Charlie Chaplin, drew laughs with his cheeky performance in a bubble bath scene. Other standout dances included a feather striptease to Squirrel Nut Zippers' "My Drag," and Janelle
Monae's "Tightrope."
The full cast, including Priscilla Trammel, Carlynn Mazon, Kaitlyn Morgan and Taylor Huggins, ended the show to will.i.am's "Bang Bang" before stepping back into the world of black and white.
Sabina Kelley (international pinup model, celebrity judge on Oxygen's "Best Ink" and guest star in Stratosphere's PIN UP) and Kevin Burke (Defending the Caveman) walked the red carpet with the cast before producers and performers Jodie McDonald and Danial Brown thanked guests
for attending.
LIMELIGHT is scheduled for a limited engagement until November 1st every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
