Rita Rudner returns to Harrah’s Las Vegas with her show, “An Evening with Rita Rudner.” Beginning September 17, Rudner will perform select Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Harrah’s Showroom.
“I’m very excited to be returning to the Caesars Entertainment family,” said Rudner. “Right across the street from Harrah’s is the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. With those winding escalators, I can accidentally shop forever!”
“Rita Rudner continues to reign as the leading lady of comedy – not just in Las Vegas, but around the world,” said Gerry Tuthill, vice president and general manager of Harrah’s Las Vegas. “We are thrilled to welcome her back to Harrah’s, as we know that our guests will be delighted by her signature powerful wit disguised with a unique, ladylike delivery.”
In 2003, Rudner launched from Las Vegas her first syndicated daily TV show, “Ask Rita,” which featured a panel of celebrities lightheartedly attempting to solve personal problems submitted by members of the public. The show ran for two years. For her work on the show, American Women in Radio and Television awarded Rudner a Gracie Allen Award for Best Program Host. Rudner also helped write the 2001 and 2003 Oscar shows with Steve Martin and the 2002 Oscar broadcast with Whoopi Goldberg. She has been named Las Vegas’s “Comedian of the Year” nine years in a row and in 2006 received Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Woman of the Year Award.
