Spiegelworld, producers of Absinthe at Caesars Palace, operator of Rose. Rabbit. Lie. at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and producer of Vegas Nocturne at Rose. Rabbit. Lie., announced its global business will relocate from New York City, and will be managed from Las Vegas. In addition, they announced the appointment of three new business leaders: David J. Foster, Chief Executive Officer; John McCoy, Chief Marketing Officer; and Mike Bauder, Senior Vice President of Production.
“Since the debut of Absinthe in 2011, Spiegelworld has doubled its turnover annually,” said Impresario Ross Mollison. “With the opening of Rose. Rabbit. Lie. featuring Vegas Nocturne, relocating David, John and Mike into these new positions is designed to firmly place our head office in the entertainment capital of the world – Las Vegas. Spiegelworld plans to rehearse, build and manage our future productions from Las Vegas, including our Tokyo premiere of Empire in July.”
- Foster, previously the President of Spiegelworld working out of the New York City office, is the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Foster has produced theater on Broadway and Off Broadway and presented concerts in prestigious venues across Australia and the U.S.
- McCoy joins Spiegelworld as the new Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, McCoy served as the Vice President of Type A Marketing, a New York based boutique-marketing agency representing Broadway and national touring productions. During his tenure, he created multi-tiered marketing campaigns, managed new partnerships and conceived special events for the company’s clients. No stranger to the Las Vegas market, McCoy worked for Wynn Resorts and Cirque du Soleil before moving to New York in 2010.
- Bauder, Spiegelworld’s new Senior Vice President of Production, spent nearly 20 years absorbing as many roles as possible in the show business industry before starting his own leading production management firm in 2005 – MB Productions. Mike has managed numerous projects abroad, working with leading designers and creative talent in places like the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Korea and India.
Effective immediately, all three will be based out of Spiegelworld’s Las Vegas office, managing the operation of Rose. Rabbit. Lie. and Vegas Nocturne, Absinthe at Caesars Palace and the world tour of Empire, which shortly opens its Japanese tour in Tokyo after completing an Australian tour that saw sales of over 200,000 tickets.
