During the telecast, 33 couples — gay, straight, old, young and racially diverse including Grabel and Shaw — entered the performance hall as Madonna joined hip-hop duo Macklemore & Lewis and the song’s featured vocalist, Mary Lambert.
“It is an amazing love story,” Grabel says. “Tammy and I starting dating less than a year ago and are now are husband and wife.”
“I have never been so happy,” Shaw adds. “I have found my partner for life and we are having so much fun on this journey.”
Tammy Shaw’s television look was provided by makeup artist Didi Perez and hair by Andeen Rose-Clark of ADD Hair and Makeup and Makeup by Didi and Vanity Style Lounge. Shaw purchased her wedding dress during her trip to Korea with Grabel, before their engagement.
