Magician @MurraySawChuck and 950 lb. Grizzly Bear to appear on #TV @hallmarkchannel tomorrow! @Vegas #crazy

If you’re nervous around wild animals and can’t bear to watch a dangerous stunt, then turn away from the television set when magician Murray Sawchuck makes a return appearance to the Hallmark channel’s hit show “Home and Family.”

The Las Vegas resident filmed his latest episode at Universal Studios on Friday for Monday’s episode that airs at 10a/9c. Producers of the show requested a new illusion from Sawchuck in order to appear on the show. While he was on hiatus from his day job at the Tropciana Hotel in Vegas, the magician developed his newest illusion that includes the appearance of a 950lb Grizzly bear, aka Dakota.

Sawchuck commented, “I called the only animal trainer I ever use – Randy Miller – and said ‘can we pull this off without being killed?’”

With the support of Miller and his illusion builder, he spent the last week in – where else – Big Bear, California on Miller’s 55-acre compound to train with the ‘talent.’ In addition, Sawchuck’s long-time magic consultant, Douglas ‘Lefty’ Lefervoich, oversaw the rehearsals.

Catch the dynamic magician as he attempts this latest illusion and several slight-of-hand tricks when the episode airs on the Hallmark channel Monday March 10th – or catch him live at the Tropicana Hotel’s Laugh Factory comedy club this summer.
