Official 2013 Poster
The 9th Annual Dam Short Film Festival is just around the corner and there's a lot going on in Boulder City. From February 6-9, the picturesque town just minutes from Las Vegas hosts this fantastic festival and features award winning shorts from around the world.

Founded in 2004 by award-winning animator and director, Lee Lanier, the Dam Short Film Society promotes the art of short filmmaking by presenting a broad showcase of films in various genres. Lanier serves as the festival's executive director but previously was a senior animator at Dreamworks/PDI on high-profile films such as Antz and Shrek.

John LaBonney is the current director of the festival after being appointed to the position in March 2011. His film, Barn Dance, was a 2009 Official Selection in this festival.

The schedule this year is jam packed with exciting films, filmmaker panels, meet & greets, mixers, and the always-packed gala evening with red carpet arrivals, award presentation, and screening of winning films.

Films are screened throughout the day and evening and packaged into genre groups including documentary, drama, animation, avant-garde, Sci-Fi, and a Nevada filmmakers group too. More than 120 films are screened throughout the four-day event in the historic Boulder Theatre.

The complete schedule for the festival is now online here. Tickets will be available online for purchase or directly at the box office. See you at the festival!
