“The performers in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET
need to be talent powerhouses who are both incredible musicians and
actors,” says producer Gigi Pritzker. “We are very pleased with the
talented cast for the Las
Vegas production at Harrah’s. While some of the cast have been with the
Broadway and National Touring productions of
MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, many were also found right here in Las Vegas.”
The Tony® Award Winning musical,
Million Dollar Quartet
takes place on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate
brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley
together. Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock
‘n’ Roll” who was responsible for launching the careers of each
superstar, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun
Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time.
MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET
brings that legendary December night to life with the extraordinary
story of secrets, betrayal, and the once in a lifetime celebration of
four friends that is both poignant and funny.
