Elvis Impersonator Steve Connolly Debuts Fine Art Works

Elvis impersonator Steve Connolly showcases a collection of works from his lesser-known passion, fine art, at the Southern Nevada Center for the Arts, with an indefinite exhibit run.

Connolly debuts 10 original mixed-medium art works which features various oils, pastels and line-art of an [obvious] entertainer near and dear to his heart, Elvis Presley. Pieces on display include “Aloha King”, “Atlas of Las Vegas”, “Dealing Kings”, “Dreams Come True”, and “Elvis by Steve Connolly”.

“I believe the best work you can create is born from the art you know best," says Connolly. "The Elvis career has provided me the opportunity to focus on myself as a fine artist, where I can express my own ideas that come from my mind and soul, which spring from a very personal creative process.”

Connolly hopes to soon debut a production that would combine performing Elvis tributes while painting.

One of the city’s busiest Elvis impersonators, Connolly has starred in more than 4,000 performances including his four-year run at the Fitz Las Vegas, three years at MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park and other headlining shows on The Strip such as “Love Him Tender” at Bally’s. Connolly currently performs in “Show Bus of the Stars”, the only floating stage on the Las Vegas Strip, produced by John Stuart, creator of the world famous “Legends in Concert”.

The Southern Nevada Center for the Arts is located at 1310 3rd Street.
