In Cloris Leachman: A One-Woman Show, the famed entertainer draws from the magical moments of her dynamic professional and personal careers through stories, song and video clips of some of her most noted film and television roles.
Best known for playing landlady Phyllis Lindstrom on the ‘70s television series The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its eventual spin-off Phyllis, Cloris Leachman played her first role on film at age seven.
In 2009, Leachman completed work in eight films including, American Cowslip; You Again; Ponyo; Inglorious Basterds; New York, I Love You; The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure; The Fields and Expecting Mary. Among her many film roles, she has appeared in three Mel Brooks films, including Young Frankenstein and High Anxiety. She received an Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actress for her role of Ruth Popper in the 1971 film The Last Picture Show.
