Since its debut at Monte Carlo, several hundred thousand people have experienced the interactive world that is Blue Man Group. In the first year, Blue Man Group has used 2,124 Twinkies; 18,585 marshmallows; 2,655 gallons of paint; 3,186 drum sticks; 74,340 cubic feet of helium and 272,934 feet of streamers.
Blue Man Group’s latest ensemble at Monte Carlo takes audiences on a luminescent-infused journey starting with a free nightly procession, Percussipede, on the casino floor. This musical centipede is best described as "an energetic parade designed by a mad scientist" and include percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets co-created with world-renowned 3-D designer Michael Curry.
Inside the theater, the Las Vegas production introduces a unique look at robots, new dynamic instruments as well as an exploration of the human brain. Moments include a giant Brain Drum, which illuminates a neurological pathway high above the crowd when played; a set of Smoke Drums that emit mystical, ethereal smoke rings; and a Neuronulum, a pipe-instrument worn by the Blue Men.
