To celebrate 50 years as an industry leader for both up-and-coming comedians and the greats of the genre, Harrah’s Las Vegas will host appearances by some of comedy’s brightest stars throughout the year. Kicking off the celebration will be owner Budd Friedman (pictured left) and renowned comedian Paul Reiser February 15-16.

Reiser, in addition to writing bestselling books CouplehoodBabyhood and Familyhood, is best known for his portrayal of Paul Buchman in TV’s Mad About You, co-starring Helen Hunt.

Other celebrity comedians scheduled to perform this year include David Alan Grier and Richard Lewis.

Founded in 1963 by Budd Friedman and later joined by partner Mark Lonow, The Improv has been bringing the brightest stars of comedy to stages across the country for 50 years, including Harrah’s Las Vegas for the past 18 years.   Opened in April of 1995, The Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas has received many accolades, including “Best Comedy Club” by Casino Player Magazine and “Best Comedy Club in Southern Nevada” by Nevada Magazine. The Improv is the longest-running comedy club in Las Vegas and will be at Harrah’s Las Vegas through at least 2015.
