Blue Man Group to Debut New Show and Percussipede at Monte Carlo Resort Oct 10

Blue Man Group unveils its newest production, two years in the making, inside Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Each day, 45 minutes prior to the first show, a Blue Man musical centipede, "Percussipede," will weave its way through the casino in a parade of percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets.

“We really wanted to connect with the audience before they even set foot in the theatre,” said Phil Stanton, co-founder of Blue Man Group. “The music and party atmosphere is contagious. The drumming pulls people in and the wild visuals will make them feel like they’ve been transported to a fun and fantastical world.”

The show includes the introduction of an assembly-line robot and a sassy humanoid Showbot, as well as an exploration of the human brain. During one of the show’s moments, a giant Brain Drum is played, illuminating a neurological pathway above the crowd.  The audience will also experience the joy of a set of giant Smoke Drums that emit mystical, ethereal smoke rings out into the world and a Neuronulum, a newly crafted pipe-instrument worn by the Blue Men which provides musical and visual pulses of energy across a theatre-wide neural landscape.

Blue Man Group was founded by Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman.  The company is a multinational media and entertainment company with theatrical and digital media operations across three continents, permanent live performance installations in six cities, an ongoing theatrical tour of the USA and Canada, and a show on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Epic.
