Matsuri and Manilow Reach Entertainment Milestones in Las Vegas
MANILOW CELEBRATES ONE YEAR
Music legend Barry Manilow celebrated the one year anniversary of his show at Paris Las Vegas this past weekend. To commemorate the special milestone, Paris Las Vegas Regional Vice President and General Manager David Hoenemeyer, along with AEG Live Las Vegas Vice President John Nelson, presented Manilow and his cast and crew with a special anniversary cake and a champagne toast.
“This past year has been truly magical and we have had a great time performing our new show in the Paris Théâtre,” said Manilow. “We are looking forward to another amazing year at Paris Las Vegas.”
Manilow’s new show, directed by renowned stage and film choreographer and director Jeffrey Hornaday (Flashdance, A Chorus Line, High School Musical 4), opened it’s doors in March 2010 at the intimate and elegant Paris Théâtre. Thirty-three more performance dates from September 2 – December 11 will go on-sale this Saturday, April 2.
MATSURI CELEBRATES 500 SHOWS
Matsuri, the show at Imperial Palace, marks another fantastic milestone as it presents its 500th performance on Tuesday, April 5. The production show, comprised of 15 Japanese nationals, features traditional and contemporary Japanese culture through acrobatics, gymnastics, dance, and comedy. Matsuri opened July 31, 2009 and is currently in its second year of production.
Matsuri, performs at 4:00 p.m. Saturdays through Wednesdays and 8:00 p.m. on Fridays. The show is dark Thursdays.
