Impersonator Frank Marino received a belated congratulations for his 25 years as the longest-running single headliner on the Las Vegas Strip on Thursday, Sept. 30 inside the showroom at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino.
Rescheduled due to two unplanned surgeries, Marino returned to the Divas Las Vegas stage at Imperial Palace this week. Originally festivities had been planned for September 23 but Frank was admitted to the hospital.
After the regular show, executives from SPI Entertainment presented Marino with a "divalicious" cake that included edible lipsticks and mini TVs with rotating images of Marino through the years.
Kind words and warm congratulations were offered but the most heartfelt came from Marino’s idol herself – Joan Rivers, who surprised Marino with her visit. Rivers congratulated Marino for making a career off of hers. Additionally she commented that Frank looks better than she in her leftover couture gowns.
