Montreal-based entertainment technology provider, Solotech, recently expanded into the United States opening a new $8 million anchor facility located in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, NV.
“Solotech has enjoyed strong growth during the past 35 years and today is in a position to offer its clientele the latest technology supported by the best trained technicians and industry professionals around,” said Pierre Leduc, vice president and general manager of Solotech US Corporation. “With our new 30,000-square-foot facility, we'll continue to support the region's entertainment projects in Las Vegas and throughout the Western United States.”
The Canadian giant has maintained an active presence in Las Vegas since 2003. They have worked on the opening of some of Las Vegas’ major showroom projects including the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for Celine Dion, the KÀ theatre at MGM Grand, and the Elvis Theatre at ARIA. They have also retrofitted and upgraded entertainment venues like the Wynn Theater, Encore Theatre, LOVE Theater and The Joint at the Hard Rock - who won Pollstar’s award for ‘Best New Major Concert Venue’ in 2009.
Using the latest technologies in sound, lighting and video, Solotech has inspired audiences through its work with acclaimed entertainment such as Cirque du Soleil, Leonard Cohen, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Diana Krall, Michael Bublé, Pacific Symphony and Star Warsä: In Concert as well as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
“There is no question, the life and energy of any production is influenced by the atmosphere created by light, sound and video,” said Leduc. “Whether working on an international stage like the recent Winter Olympics or in the quiet, sacred halls of a church sanctuary, the experience becomes unforgettable with perfectly sculpted light and finely-tuned audio working in harmony.”
The Solotech facility proves as innovative as its technology, incorporating a professional products store that offers audio, lighting, video accessories and expendables for last-minute convention or concert needs; a warehouse of state-of-the-art lighting, rigging and cables in every size and an ancillary artist rehearsal space.
The Las Vegas offices are located at 7465 South Dean Martin Drive, Ste. 108.
